Behind-The-Ear (BTE) Hearing Aids

Behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing aids work for all degrees of hearing loss and can be more helpful for severe to profound hearing loss as they provide the most amplified sound of any hearing aid on the market.

Worn comfortably behind the ear, sounds are “heard” by the microphone, amplified, and then transmitted into the ear through tiny tubes that are connected to custom earmolds that fit in the ear, made of an acrylic or silicone material. Models are available in different colors, styles, and designs.

BTE aids are all digital today, and are often referred to as “Bluetooth Hearing Aids,” because of their ability to stream audio via bluetooth technology. Not only do BTE hearing aids work with a wide array of accessories and apps, they are also rechargeable.

Advantages of BTE Hearing Aids

Comfort

BTE hearing aids provide all-day comfort since they don’t penetrate deep into your ear. They are also available in two different varieties: with a thin tube or a customized ear mold to fit perfectly into your unique ear shape.

Better Sound

Because BTE hearing aids amplify sound happening in the world around you, they provide the most robust hearing available.

Bluetooth & Accessory Connectivity

Bluetooth and wireless streaming technologies have made their way into the world of hearing aids, and custom hearing aids are no exception. When creating your custom hearing aids, you have the option to add bluetooth and accessory connectivity so you can easily switch between hearing what’s going on in the world around you and what’s going on on your devices.
