Dr. Ashley Stumpf

Audiologist

Ashley Stumpf is a clinical audiologist who received her doctorate in audiology from the University of Northern Colorado in 2019. She is from Fleming, Colorado and is excited to serve the communities she grew up in. Dr. Stumpf is passionate about providing best-practice hearing healthcare to people in Northeast Colorado in relation to hearing loss, tinnitus, and hearing loss prevention. She has spent time interning at a neuro-otology practice in the Denver metro area working alongside physicians treating all different balance and ear disorders and diseases. During her time there, she was able to work extensively programming hearing aids and cochlear implants.

Additionally, Dr. Stumpf has helped develop a hearing conservation program in a Guatemalan sugar mill where gathered data is being used to complete a journal publication that she is the lead author on. Dr. Stumpf has also completed research on the utilization of new hearing testing equipment’s use in out-patient cancer treatment centers in order to better serve patients being treated with chemotherapeutics that are known to cause hearing loss.

What is your favorite part about working with your patients?

I love getting to know my patients and their families. I truly believe it takes knowing the whole patient to be successful in rehabilitating their hearing loss and I love hearing their life stories along the way. I work with some amazing people who have done amazing things/ lived amazing lives!

What is your favorite sound that you always want to be able to hear?

I used to be a runner and I would say hearing the rhythm of my footsteps on the gravel or pavement. Now that I am a mom though, it would have to be hearing my child tell me stories or laugh. Those conversations are priceless!

What is your favorite activity to do outside of work?

My first is the cliche of spending time with my immediate and extended family. I also love to craft and get lost in a project.
